PLU Women's Softball
Welcome to Lance Glasoe's Personal Fundraising Page!

"I invite all of you to participate in our Softball program raise money this year as we continue to work towards a National Championship."
As a program with a long tradition of Excellence on the field and in the classroom it is important for us to continually work to improve our schedule and provide the tools needed for our Student Athletes to be their very best. This campaign is moving us forward to be able to compete nationally.
I hope that all of you see the real value of college athletics and can help us reach our full potential this season.
Who We Are
We are the 2016 PLU Lutes Softball team, and this year we are on a mission to go from Good to Great. As a team, we are tough, accountable, selfless and confident, and we consistently strive to embody these traits in our community, classrooms, and on the field. To us, this means being present in every area of our lives as student-athletes. By committing to this, we are able to adjust to adversity and overcome obstacles as individuals and together as a team. We aim to represent PLU in the best light possible by constantly striving for excellence.
Project Outcomes and Benefits
Being a team from the Pacific Northwest, we tend to have to spend a lot of our pre-season practices indoors out of the rain in order to get better. One thing that would greatly benefit our progress in the preseason this year and for years to come would be a pitching machine. The pitching machine would serve as a way for us to see simulated “live” pitching with similar speed and accuracy to the high-caliber pitching that we expect to face in our conference. Finding new ways to train our bodies and minds is another way for PLU softball to go from good to great. The V Flex combo are a brain based training set that can be used for both pitchers and hitters, allowing a new level of performance to be obtained.
This year, our travel costs consisted of two preseason trips. We traveled to Dallas, TX in early February for one week, and Mesa, AZ for four days to follow the Dallas trip. Being able to travel to play live games in the preseason benefits us because it allows us to get outside and see live competition after spending a long preseason indoors. Since we aren’t allowed to compete with other teams in our area before the conference begins, it is important for us to be able to go places where we will see competition that we’re likely to see again in the postseason.
It’s a Team Effort!
We’re so excited about the opportunity to reach out to our community, family and friends in our journey toward excellence this season. We can’t wait to add you to the list of people who have helped Lute Softball along our way. To show our appreciation for your donations, we will be recognizing you with much gratitude on our social media platforms and live at our games. On behalf of the PLU Lutes Softball team, we hope that you’ll contribute to our ambition, and we sincerely thank you for your support!
GO LUTES!
Hey Luteball friends and fam!
We're officially into our final week of the campaign, which means we especially need your help to reach our goal now! As of today, we have funded 83% of our goal. We are so close... only 17% away!
In other news, last weekend on Saturday we came out with great energy and won our make-up game 6-1 against Lewis & Clark, taking the series with 3 wins and 1 loss. To kick off our Spring break this upcoming weekend, we will play at home against Willamette for two games Friday and two Saturday. We hope you'll come out and support!
Don't forget to contribute to our campaign this final week, we're almost there and we'd love your help!
Go Lutes!!! #DWWD
Hey everybody!
Here's what's coming up...
As of today, we have fundraised over half of our goal, at $6,190. This progress is very exciting to us, and we thank all of you who have been so generous to reach out and donate! If you haven't contributed yet but are considering, please know that we have two weeks left in our campaign and your support would benefit us greatly as we continue to push forward toward our goal of $10,000.
This Saturday, we will be making up our final game of the four-game series with Lewis & Clark at home. We hope you'll come out and support— we are expecting some sunshine!
GO LUTES!!
Hey Everyone! Here's a quick update!
This week, we played our home opener against Lewis & Clark, and we ended up winning two out of three games played so far in our four game series. The final game was rained out, so we will be making it up at another date TBD. As a team, we are excited about our forward-moving momentum, with a 2-game winning streak to take us into our next conference series against George Fox this upcoming weekend!
As of today, we have successfully raised 29% of our campaign goal. We hope that you will contribute to our cause, so that we can move closer to our over-all goal by the end of this week!
Thank you for your support as we push forward! GO LUTES!!
Woohoo! It's official, we have successfully launched our campaign! We're so excited to get you in the loop with what's been going on for Luteball. Here's our latest update:
This weekend we went on the road for our conference opener against Pacific. We put up a fight to take our first game into 14 innings, coming away with a big win! Our final record of the outing was 1 for 4. We're looking forward to a week of hard work and getting better, as we prepare to face Lewis & Clark at home this upcoming weekend.
We hope you'll enjoy our campaign page, and that you'll be excited about contributing to our success as a team and community!
Looking forward to our next update...
It's a great day to be a Lute!!
Hey Luteball Fans and Supporters!
Last weekend, the PLU Softball team traveled to Arizona, to compete in a four game series with Benedictine University at Mesa. The aim of the trip was to prepare us for the change in our upcoming conference schedule, where we will be playing four-game series' with teams rather than two-game series'. We were also excited to have the chance to get out on the dirt and in the sun! The trip was a very successful one— we came away with all four wins, having run-ruled the team in 3 of the 4 games. Like Texas, this trip was a learning experience for us as a team, and we’ve been working hard in and out of practice to prepare to have success in our conference schedule. We hit the road again for Oregon next weekend for our first conference series against Pacific on Feb. 27-28.
Thank you so much for your time and support! Another update soon
to come…
GO LUTES! #DWWD
Hey Everyone! Here's a quick update of our first outing as the 2016 Lutes Softball team!
We spent this past week in Dallas, TX where we kicked off our pre-season competition with double headers against Le Tourneau and Texas-Dallas, and single games against UT Tyler and East Texas Baptist. We came away with four wins out of six games played in the week, making the trip an exciting and successful one, as well as a good basis to learn and grow from as we continue to prepare for conference play. We arrived back on campus yesterday (Sun, Feb. 7) just in time for the SuperBowl (and some down time for the group of us who caught a bad cold). Everybody's tired from our long and thrilling Texas grind, but we're ready to hit it hard in practice and the weight room this week as we prepare to get back on the road for Phoenix, AZ on Thursday. Thanks to those who came out to support us in Texas, to those who live-streamed games from home, and to those who are staying tuned in right here!
More updates to come soon...
